Our Next Blog – You Decide

It’s a wet, grey day in Belfast and my brain cells feel equally overcast. Maybe it’s because I’m diverting all my creative juices into the novel at the minute but the ‘ideas well’ is well and truly dry on the blogging front. Which got me thinking. Why do I have to do all the hard work when our wonderful WordPress family can get their thinking caps on as well.

So as a one off I’m opening it up to the floor and asking the question – What would you like us to write about? It can be as obscure or bizarre as you want. But please keep it clean. We will pick the best two suggestions and then post on the topic over the next few weeks. Current affairs, Fiction, Biography. You suggest it and I’ll give it a rattle if it rocks my boat. Extra bonus points for the most innovative and imaginative comments.

We are Stephen and Fionnuala and this is our story. We live in Northern Ireland, have been married for 17 years and have three kids - Adam, Hannah and Rebecca. We hope that our story will inspire and encourage others. We have walked a rocky road yet here we are today, together and stronger than ever. We are far from perfect and our faith has been battered and bruised. But an untested faith is a pointless faith. Just as a fractured faith is better than none at all. We hope you enjoy the blog.

  1. I would love to hear about your family dynamics…the challenges and joys of raising a child with special needs…parenting teenagers…compare and contrast of your parenting style versus how you grew up. I would be interested in hearing about your culture. That kind of stuff…

  2. I would love to hear the challenges, resources available in your country and how you manage in raising children, having one with special needs. We also was gifted with a son with special needs and in all the challenges, I grew as a woman, found myself advocating and this began my education and immersion into the world of special needs children.

  3. I’d love to hear more about how you manage life as a family, How you manage work commitments, parenting, marriage and find time to spend as a couple! Also more about what drew you together as a couple, how did you meet and do you find you still have the same interests now after all this time? 😊

      1. I’d love hear it 😊 I sometimes think it’s good to have your own interests too though, Scott doesn’t read but I love it but we both like hikes and weekends away in the countryside. I am not a runner 😂 but we both love a night in with a film and a bottle of wine. I’m sure you have more in common than you think 😉

  4. I would love to hear more from your family/kids ☺
I also enjoy your running posts. I understand what it’s like to hit a writing block, so I’m sorry I can’t be more help. But I love your blog the way it is!

  5. I don’t have any ideas for you, but I do think it’s a fun choice to let your readers “decide” your next blog. Hope you get some great ideas!

  6. One of my favorite games is in Loisa May Alcott’s book, “Little Women”, you start a fictional story and carry it as long as you want making it as bizarre as you want but you don’t finish it. Instead, you pass it on to the next person and they get to continue the story, so and so on until it comes to an end. You could do something like that and tag the person(s) you want to continue the story.

  7. Tһere are, after all, some destructive points to freelancing.

One vital point is that if you happen to work as a freеlancе pɑralegal you will
not be eligible for the varieties оf benefits that you would have in ԝorking for a legislation firm ⲟr a private attorney.
For those who rеally feel that such “perks”
as general medical insurance and other ѕuch benefits are important, freelancing will not provide you ᴡith these benefіts.
