I bought these bad boys yesterday and will be breaking them in over the next week or so in advance of the Belfast Marathon on 7th May. It will be my third Belfast Marathon and my eighth in total. I’ve never entered a marathon feeling less confident but I’m hoping that new running shoes will give me the boost I need to cover the 26.2 miles in my target time of sub four hours. We shall see.

We are Stephen and Fionnuala and this is our story. We live in Northern Ireland, have been married for 17 years and have three kids - Adam, Hannah and Rebecca. We hope that our story will inspire and encourage others. We have walked a rocky road yet here we are today, together and stronger than ever. We are far from perfect and our faith has been battered and bruised. But an untested faith is a pointless faith. Just as a fractured faith is better than none at all. We hope you enjoy the blog. This post just induced anxiety about my run tomorrow that the slow bus willl pick me up and I will have a DNF. This is so irrational as that has never happened and I have trained for the stupid marathon. BAHAHAHA. Happy Birthday!

You will be awesome in your new kicks. You’ll run like a superhero I just know it. My littlest guys claim to run better with new shoes, so you will too.

Ha Ha small world. Iβm from Omagh originally but live in a little village called Aghalee, about 20 miles from Belfast where I work. My mum still lives in Omagh though.
