We are proud of you

Around this time last year Stephen wasn’t in a great place which is no big secret as he regularly blogs about it. As a result of his state of mind back then I encouraged him to do what he loved to do again and that was to write which was when this blog was birthed.

Over the last year Stephen has fought his demons by putting pen to paper or in this case fingertips to the keyboard and he has broke down many barriers and obstacles.

The reason I am writing this is because today this blog has reached 5000 followers. I noticed last night that it was at 4995 and asked him was he going to blog about it and he said no that it would come across that he was boasting. Stephen is a very selfless person nowadays the old Stephen, which he refers to himself as, would be shouting this from every platform possible. I am writing this because I am bursting with pride at the man, husband, father and my best friend he is now and of everything he has accomplished via this blog.

Congratulations on the 5000 Followers Stephen and the first year of Fractured Faith Blog.

We are Stephen and Fionnuala and this is our story. We live in Northern Ireland, have been married for 17 years and have three kids - Adam, Hannah and Rebecca. We hope that our story will inspire and encourage others. We have walked a rocky road yet here we are today, together and stronger than ever. We are far from perfect and our faith has been battered and bruised. But an untested faith is a pointless faith. Just as a fractured faith is better than none at all. We hope you enjoy the blog.

  1. I certainly can understand why you have hit 5000 so quickly. This is one of my favorite blogs because it is sincere and truthful about the things you’re going through. It is also marvelously written. Stephen has a Great knack for putting the day’s events into a godly perspective. I learned a lot from him. Congratulations

  2. This is quite an accomplishment. 5,000 is a magical figure for me. Respect for your hard work and perseverance.
This number seems unreal to me as I only have 248 followers after four months. Maybe one day…

  3. Stephen, you have much to be proud of. And by letting us know, you inspire us to keep pressing on, to persevere. Your hard work on your blog and on yourself as well as the willingness to share your foibles has taught us much in the past year. Give yourself a pat on the back and the glory to God. Many blessings.

  4. Wonderful! 5000 folks have the opportunity to read/enjoy/be challenged by this blog. I know I sure do!
I thank you, family, for being such a support for Stephen. As one who shares many of the things he has struggled with in the past, I know that without my wife Betsy’s constant support I would not be where I am today.
    Blessings to you all,
