It is written
Mitigation
Twisting truths
To quote verbatim
Spare the child
And spoil the rod
Worshiping
Your silent god.
Verses, Curses
Robed Subversives
Empty hearts
Yet flowing purses
Holy men with hollow souls
Break the rules, you pay the toll
Creaking bridges
Lurking trolls
Faster, Faster
Master, Master
Bend the knee
To plastic pastors.

We are Stephen and Fionnuala and this is our story. We live in Northern Ireland, have been married for 17 years and have three kids - Adam, Hannah and Rebecca.
We hope that our story will inspire and encourage others. We have walked a rocky road yet here we are today, together and stronger than ever. We are far from perfect and our faith has been battered and bruised.
But an untested faith is a pointless faith. Just as a fractured faith is better than none at all.
We hope you enjoy the blog.

Too many of those plastic pastors out there. I’m so fortunate that my pastor is the real deal.

Should be posted outside any Mega-Church – and then some. You continue to surprise (in the best way!) with what you write.

Nice work. It’s a shame how true these words really are. I had to search through 5 different churches until I found the real deal. Allot of phonies out there, looking for a payout.

I must say that,
“Empty hearts
Yet flowing purses”
was what made me whistle aloud. That’s good.

The prose in this is beautiful and the messages real. I think you answered your own question as to why God fell silent and itβs nothing to do with others or Him.
