To be totally honest with you, this themed series has been a bit of a slog at times. You see, I haven’t really been able to write about a lot of stuff, other than er….Christmas. And there’s only so much I can come up with about food, elves and all things ho ho ho. So I’m kind of glad that today is Day 12 and normal service can be resumed. Or as normal as this blog can ever be.
The upside is I have lots of topics and ideas stockpiled that I intend to unleash upon you over the coming weeks and months. I hope for 2019 to be a big year and that you will stick around to discover what lies around the corner. Thank you for enduring this series and here’s the 12th, and thankfully final, Blogging Question of Christmas – What are your blogging plans for 2019?
As always I will be aiming to publish something ‘new’ in 2019. Currently I have planned a ‘boys’ trip to Krakow (aka a stag weekend) in March, though I’m not sure how many photos I’ll be able to publish 😉; my daughter’s wedding in April (though as father of the bride, I’m not sure how many photos I’ll be able to take and, in June/July, walking part of the Inn Way to Northumberland with some of my mates. In between and beyond those it’ll probably be more walks and European holidays.

Sounds like a busy start to 2019. Enjoy it all. I’m too old for boys weekends now 😂

2019 Plans: writing guest blog posts and maybe recording my posts as podcasts.
Looking forward to reading from your stockpile:-)

Carole, I have been doing that for some time now (I upload the audio version of my blogs to our website). It is helpful because it gives me access to another and somewhat different audience. Contact me if I can be of any assistance.
Blessings,
Chuck

Thank you Carol. Podcasts? You’re brave. Don’t think I could do that.

I want to publish new stuff on all my blogs …. not just reblog other stuff I find cool & interesting. My major problem is finding the time to write. With my son here, I am spending so much more time doing housewife work & I am really tired of that. All I want to do is write. 2019 is going to be a bare-bones time of writing & more writing … soup & sandwiches for dinner most nights! & I don’t want to hear any complaints, either. LOL

Soup and sandwiches 😆 , not bad at all. I hope you do find the space to write more.

No specific idea for blogs – but do want to blog more often – and to increase my list of other bloggers I read. Right now I follow several but there are only 5 I follow on a regular basis now – yours is one of those. I really enjoy your writing.

Stephen I look forward to what you have for us! My plans going forward are to become a better, more informed writer and I want to devote more time to reading/responding to others.
Blessings of a rich (you can take that any way you like!) 2019!!!!!!!!!!!

lakeside4jesus – THANK YOU! My plans actually include spending more time on my own writing and less on reading blogs by people who allegedly “follow” me, but never, never read what I’ve written. I’ve been so bogged down with reading every blog that comes my way that I’ve had little time for my own writing. (Reading other people’s material does inspire me with all kinds of ideas, but then I’m seldom left with enough time to write them!)
There definitely needs to be some give and take here, and in 2019 I am going to try to find that balance.

Man, do I ever need to do that too!

You’re a talented writer. It was a shame your computer crashed when you were beta reading for me but I’ll still give you a credit in the book and post you a copy of the book.

I liked the theme! But I can see how it may have been a challenge to come up with questions/topics that didn’t feel already done.
I hate to say I don’t have much of a plan for my blog other than to keep on. Maybe jazz things up a bit. It’s pretty low tech, I think.
I do want to begin writing a novel though.
Hope you are feeling better!

I like that “Jazz it up”, 🤔 that’s what I want my life in 2019 to be. Thanks!

I feel like it’s a throw back phrase from my younger years! But so fitting

I plan to do some weeding.
I pick up “followers,” I agree to follow them. I read their blogs – many of them. It usually takes me hours each day. Some of them inspire me to write my own ideas on related subjects, but by the time I’ve read everyone’s posts, I don’t have time to write my own!
I have noticed how many of these bloggers who signed up to “follow” me haven’t commented on, liked, or even READ anything I’ve written since. (Come on, folks, I post one blog a week, which takes 3 minutes or less to read.) There are a lot of good writers out there, way too many for me to read them all. So this year I am going to stop pouring all my time into reading anyone’s and everyone’s blogs and focus on the ones that are best for me. This will mean eliminating those that (1) are posted daily or multiple times per day, (2) those that are too L-O-N-G, that could have said the same thing in a fraction of the number of words, (3) those that aren’t saying anything new, or at least expressing an old truth in a fresh, new way, and (4) those posted by people I’ve been following for months but who haven’t read a single blog of mine. If I do this, I may even have time to get back to the book that’s been on the back burner for months.
Not trying to be mean, people, but if writing is my calling, I need to get back to it.

I’m sorry you feel that way. I try hard to support other bloggers but it’s impossible to read everybody’s blog every day.

Explore newer topics and content. I don’t like to fit in a box or follow the same routine. I get bored easily. I plan to change the layout of my blog, which I’ve been doing lately. My writing continues to evolve and I’m just letting the creative juices flow. I do plan to finish my first book next year, publish, and enjoy the first accomplishment of many to come. I keep having visions of me holding my first copy of my book and sharing it with the world. I’m excited, because I’m taking chances and believing more in myself through my writing.
I will continue to meet other bloggers, I enjoy conversing with new people. This has been a wonderful platform for me to discover my talents and meet people. Can’t wait to see what’s in store for 2019. I hope to get your book in my hand in 2019. Can’t wait to read it! ☺️

The cleanup on the first novel is taking time, but I want to present as much as I can on getting it back out there, the sequel, and of course heading into the future. One thing I did start was a small discussion on self defense. I’ll probably move that to it’s on page, and then add more (like first aid, and etc).

For 2019, I plan on blogging with a better focus on my yearly goals and the emotional ups & downs that come with them. Mental health is a huge concern for me and I feel like people in my life just do not want to talk about it or admit it.
I can’t wait to read what you have in store for us:)

For me, due to time restrictions for classes and homework and other projects for school; I want to at least be able to write one post a month.

I plan to continue blogging as I have for the past 8.5 years, though at the slower rate of recent years (about 90 posts a year). Overall I’ve published 2052 posts, so that’s 240 posts a year—I won’t be doing that many posts next year, I’m sure.
I read too many blogs, but I tend to cut them out of my RSS feed when I lose interest—I’ll probably be pruning fairly ruthlessly in the next month, as I’m coming off sabbatical and starting a heavy teaching/grading load again.

2052 is very impressive. I try to post every day.

I don’t usually make plans, because I seldom stick to them. My hope is that I will participate in some new or different memes as well as continue to post reviews. I also hope to continue to share what is going on in my life or part of the world (that would be Florida for the next weeks). Happy New year.

Definitely to post far more consistently and manage a balance. Create some exciting content and get more of my ideas and screenplays out for people to read. Great post made me think a lot about what I need to do and achieve. Thank you.

I want to start sharing poetry submission deadlines, both for myself, and others who follow the blog. The theme of this year, for me, is to not fear, even seek out rejection, and submit, submit, submit.
