Happy Birthday To Me….Well Almost

It’s my birthday in five days! Where has the last year gone? Search me. No need to guess my age or enquire as to my address for cards and gifts. Well, unless you insist. Rather, I want to spend the week returning the favour. I’m very blessed and grateful for the life I have. There but for the grace of God and all that. It could all have turned out very differently. Yet, here I am. A very fortunate man.

Every day this week I’ll be offering my fellow bloggers a free service from yours truly. Unfortunately it won’t be the contents of my bank account, not that that amounts to a hill of beans, as it’s also four days to my next pay day. Today it’s the opportunity to be a guest blogger on Fractured Faith Blog. We are now nearing 10K followers so it’s a great opportunity for a fellow writer to showcase their talent.

All you have to do is comment below if you are interested, with a brief pitch as to what you want to write about on the blog. I’m open to most subjects. Sell it to me and make me an offer I simply cannot refuse. I’ll post my favourites next week. Please don’t be offended if you’re not chosen. It can be an old post you’re particularly proud of or something brand spanking new. The choice is yours.

Tomorrow I will post another gift I’m offering you wonderful people. Keep tuned to see what that is. If you’re a little shy about sharing your guest blog idea in open forum for now, then drop me an e-mail and we can take it from there. There are so many talented writers on WordPress who deserve 10K followers much more than me. It’s only fair that I use this week to share the love a little.

Drop your guest blog ideas below or e-mail me.

We are Stephen and Fionnuala and this is our story. We live in Northern Ireland, have been married for 17 years and have three kids - Adam, Hannah and Rebecca. We hope that our story will inspire and encourage others. We have walked a rocky road yet here we are today, together and stronger than ever. We are far from perfect and our faith has been battered and bruised. But an untested faith is a pointless faith. Just as a fractured faith is better than none at all. We hope you enjoy the blog.

  1. A very early happy birthday and praise to God for you, Stephen. Thank you for your generous gift offer! A guest blog idea from me could be any of the following: 1) Knowing Jesus and being depressed 2) Finding Joy in Your Mess 3) Real Talk about Life #nomorepretending
Hope your new job is going well. I am applying today for part-time job outside the home. It’s been a long time.

  2. ARE YOU SERIOUS???? What a GREAT idea!

-oh, and happy birth day. I’ll have to send you something. Hopefully Customs won’t confiscate it for being suspicious.

…is there something unique you’d want from this side of the pond?

  3. Well, let me start by saying happy early birthday!!! What an awesome thought- give back for your birthday…. it has to generate such a warm feeling in the heart. I haven’t been following you long- but have enjoyed it so far!! I’m sure we would all love to jump at the chance as a guest blogger – anticipating the opportunity to be seen by so many! Since I started blogging back in 2017, my topics have been all over the place- but they all come from the heart and personal perspective. I’d like to share a link to one- but with a little more time(I’m actually at work at the moment), I’m sure I could come up with a few that I would be particularly proud to share…if chosen.

Thanks for the opportunity to express the interest to be chosen…. and again- hope it is a wonderful birthday week!!! Hugs from Texas!!

  5. Happy upcoming Birthday. I would be interested in posting to your audience. The post would focus on the challenges and rewards of writing and illustrating as a mother (Gen x) and daughter (Millennial) team.

  6. Hey Stephen! Happy Birthday in five days!

That’s a generous offer, I’d be interested in posting something… I have a few real life stories I could share from my not so boring life…teenage pregnancy, finding Jesus, having a deathly ill child, being kicked out of a church I helped start…you name it. I could share old poetry or an article I’ve written on various meaningful topics, or one of my many awkward and embarrassing moments to give your readers something to laugh at! Or just give me another flash fiction receipt 😜 Take your pick!

  7. Happy birthday Stephen…soon! Thank you for this generous offer for guest bloggers. I’m giving you three possible posts of mine.

A daughters love, a fathers alcoholism, and the power of forgiveness.

To fear God is to keep Him in His place, and me in my place.

    Self explanatory.

    Thanks for the consideration!

  8. How very kind and generous of you. If I were to write a guest blog I would write about advocating for others. It would be my own take on the importance of advocating for others who are sick, or vulnerable due to any cause. My recent experiences with the health care system were something of an eye-opener, allowing me insights which I would not have otherwise had.

  9. I would be keen to have an entry for this guest post raffle! I’d probably repost my most recent article (but anything you like from my blog I’m happy to share!) which is about self worth and toxic autonomy

I would like to pitch three ideas since I’m an overachiever. 1) 10 Changes I Made to Avoid Divorce in 2016 That Saved My Marriage and Changed My Life 2) How Having a Child With Special Needs Broke, Changed and Ultimately Transformed My Faith and Writing 3) How To Ditch Fear in One Week Through 5 Simple Solutions. 11. Happy birthday! Guest blogging would be fun but I write on the fly usually. I come up with three posts on a Friday and write on Sunday. If you’ve read something of mine that may be interesting, let me know. I’ve had a lot of good feedback on my “who takes care of you” post and my “do you like me” post. Both I think are not bad.
Hope you Birthday was fabulous!! Cheers!
