Here are some photos from today’s run. My 12 miles ended up as 13.5 but hey ho. Hannah joined me for the first mile while Rebecca chilled out at a picnic before joining up with me near the finish. Fionnuala was there to capture all the best moments and keep us all under control. The weather stayed fine and my legs felt good. Now for a hot bath and a Chinese takeaway. Not at the same time, I might add. Enjoy your Saturday whatever you are up to.

We are Stephen and Fionnuala and this is our story. We live in Northern Ireland, have been married for 17 years and have three kids - Adam, Hannah and Rebecca. We hope that our story will inspire and encourage others. We have walked a rocky road yet here we are today, together and stronger than ever. We are far from perfect and our faith has been battered and bruised. But an untested faith is a pointless faith. Just as a fractured faith is better than none at all. We hope you enjoy the blog. Evening,
I do hope you don’t mind me contacting you in this manner but I’m a follower of your blog.
A few weeks ago I think you offered to profile a guest blogger? I’m not prolific but hopefully you think I’m doing something interesting and worthwhile; at the moment (having completed day 2) I am running ten marathons in ten consecutive days around Lake Windermere for a charity called Brathay Trust.
Please have a quick squint at my blog website which is snickersormarathons.com to see if you think I’m a possible candidate for guest blogger?
Thank you for the interesting stories and congratulations on your publishing deal…
All the best
Duncan

Steven,
Keep loving your daughters in such ways that they need not wonder if you do. Little girls need their fathers to be their first hero. Seeing your love for them is a reminder to me that a Father’s Love is not replaceable. Having not had my father in my life, I suffered so, having no clue what I needed to look for in a mate and what I ought not to endure. May other men who follow you take a cue and start to see that their daughters need them the same as their sons. Congratulations and thanks again for demonstrating the power of a father’s love. It really does exist for the blessed ones.
