Occasionally I’ll sit back and let you lot do the work. Fionnuala and I spend our weeks in a blur with work and family commitments. There are many days I have little opportunity to run, write or blog. So this morning I’ll leave you with a question. Or three. Please answer, especially if you are new to the blog. We encourage interaction and making new friends within the WordPress community. So don’t be shy and here we go….

We are Stephen and Fionnuala and this is our story. We live in Northern Ireland, have been married for 17 years and have three kids - Adam, Hannah and Rebecca. We hope that our story will inspire and encourage others. We have walked a rocky road yet here we are today, together and stronger than ever. We are far from perfect and our faith has been battered and bruised. But an untested faith is a pointless faith. Just as a fractured faith is better than none at all. We hope you enjoy the blog.

  3. I’m in Dallas, Texas, United States. I’m a transplant, originally from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, US. If memory serves, I think you found me, and then I found you. I don’t really have a favorite movie franchise, as such things almost always involve (at least for me) at least one or more installments that just don’t sit well with me. I prefer the stand-alone movies that work swimmingly on their own.

    And this wasn’t a question, but I’m pleased that you seem to be doing quite well with your book. Good on ya.

  5. Where am I today… Physically? South, Ga. US. Mentally? I’m in a pretty good place! 😉. What brought me here? No clue as to when I found you, because it was a while ago & I don’t remember. But today, post popped up in my feed… & Well, here I am. 👍 — Favorite movie franchise? Oooo. I like the marvel universe, but I’mma go out on a limb here & likely given a slightly less popular answer. — X-Men. I know some are hit or miss, but the ones they got right, they’re good! 😁

    I found this blog when I first launched my wordpress website and searched ‘writing’.
    My favourite movie franchise is too hard to answer, as I am very eclectic. I enjoyed The Lord of the Rings (I read the book as a child). Lately I’ve enjoyed the Marvel franchise too. These are great to watch as a family. I could go on!

  9. I’m in Detroit, Michigan, USA at 4:30 AM (I never know how to attach the AM to the numbers).
    I don’t quite remember how I found your blog. I think maybe you tagged something recovery in the past and back then that was really the only tag I looked at.
    Movie franchises… haha… I’m a little cheesy but probably either the early Alien franchise or the Mad Max franchise. I’ve seen The Road Warrior over 50 times.

    You liked one of my posts and so I opened your link and read your Rant. Loved it so decided to follow you.
    Movie Franchise? Is it ‘cos I’m old … I’ve not a clue what one is.👵❔
    I do enjoy watching films of many genres, although would rather watch Dead Calm or Airplane than Bridget Jones! Looking forward to Mrs Lowry & Son – and to your next Post. Think ‘Question Time’ is a good idea too.

  15. Manhattan. I’m here because unless I don’t actually open up my WordPress app, I always read your posts. It’s like checking up on a friend. As for a movie franchise … well I’m not sure, however we have for the first time ever got Netflix and although it’s not a movie per se, I’m really enjoying The Crown! Sooo middle class of me I know but actually rather good, far better than I had imagined. I’ve never seen Game of Thrones but perhaps, you never know, I might just join the rest of the universe one day and give it a go.

  17. 1) I’m in the US, in Michigan just outside of Detroit.
    2) I think you may have commented on my blog (although that seems a remote possibility), or I found you on the Five Minute Friday Link-up.
    3) I have three favorites that can’t be narrowed: Jason Bourne movies (I love the chase), Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings (no explanations needed).

    I’m not 100% sure how I found you; I think I was just posting mad random bits, and followed someone who was following you and it went from there. Don’t hold me to that. It was meant to be.
    I love the Marvel movies, I’m also a fan of Star Wars (prequels, not so much) and both twists of Star Trek. I have to agree on The Crown, lovely sets, costuming and the like.

    I found this blog through WordPress recommending it
    And because I’m hopelessly sappy, my favorite franchise is Hallmark “Signed Sealed Delivered”or.
    I just can’t get into superhero movies 🤷 (I have watched SHIELD on Netflix, but that’s it). I don’t do any of kind of horror (I am a wimp of the first order). I am hit or miss with Disney. I think they should have stopped Star Wars after “The Empire Strikes Back”.

    I think I found you when checking out WP suggestions at the end of a post. I’ve been a faithful reader ever since.

  28. I live in Georgia, USA and found your blog because you LIKED a post on my blog (malcolmsroundtable) and I followed you here. (Nice place.) I can’t really say that I love a particular movie franchise because I don’t typically watch movies that are serial in nature. I did like the Harry Potter series. But otherwise, what I like is hard to define, rather scattered throughout dozens of genres and styles.

  30. Here in USA New Jersey. This was the first blog recommended to me when I started my own blog and I have loved reading this so much. Your warmth shines through and your love too. Reading this blog is like getting a warm hug from across the world.

    My favorite movie franchises are all three Back to the Future movies and of course Harry Potter. What are yours?
