Dare You Enter?

My first fantasy novel, ‘The Kirkwood Scott Chronicles: Skelly’s Square,’ is now available to buy on Amazon in e book and paperback format. Here’s the cover and back cover blurb. There’s even a photo of me pretending to look ‘hard’ in a Belfast back alley where the idea for the book was born.

What’s more, it’s FREE if you subscribe to Kindle Unlimited. Golly Gosh.

So what are you waiting for?

Dare you enter The Square?

We are Stephen and Fionnuala and this is our story. We live in Northern Ireland, have been married for 17 years and have three kids - Adam, Hannah and Rebecca. We hope that our story will inspire and encourage others. We have walked a rocky road yet here we are today, together and stronger than ever. We are far from perfect and our faith has been battered and bruised. But an untested faith is a pointless faith. Just as a fractured faith is better than none at all. We hope you enjoy the blog.

        1. Hello Stephen (and Fionnuala) Black,

You are very welcome! I hope that you will receive due recognition from your literary circles and find new opportunities to reach even greater heights.

I would like you to know that I decided to comment on your current blog post since I can fully understand and resonate with your exhilaration of achieving something as significant as publishing a new book that you have taken so long to carefully produce to your utmost satisfaction, as I myself have had to maintain both my composure and stamina to compose something as highly significant as a very special and long eulogy to commemorate the life of my late mother whom I adored. It has been indeed somewhat of an emotional roller coaster. Regardless, you are very welcome to see the end result of my enduring love and perseverance at https://soundeagle.wordpress.com/2019/08/31/khai-khim-for-always-and-beyond-goodbye/

  1. Great photo and jacket cover! And honeycomb ice cream?!!! Sounds like I am not only missing out on another extraordinary work (your book, which I still have to order), but of this flavor ice cream! We do not have that here, that I am aware of, but as a hobbiest beekeeper—I’m completely intrigued!

Congratulations on the release of your novel. 🙂

  2. Good evening, I told you this a.m. that I bought your book. I’ve just finished Chapter 3 and I so didn’t want to stop reading. Talk about cliff-hangers. But my other half has headed off to bed and we’ve an early start tomorrow, so … Just wanted to congratulate you on a gripping read.
For context: My degrees are in Education and English Literature, including a Masters. It wasn’t unusual for me to have two or three books by my bedside. So, I am a reader. Or was. After my last major breakdown around 2004 I found it increasingly difficult to sit down with a book. A therapist got me onto ‘talking books’ and even set up a reading group so that I could be supported back into literature. Zilch. My head wasn’t having it. I read factual books, and the news. That’s it. Until this morning. I go to bed a contented bunny.
So, THANK YOU, THANK YOU. I want even more to write a review on my blog. Usually they’re about books and gadgets that help with my mental health/autism. I think this book should be up there with them. When I finish, and if it’s OK with you.
Well done for a b***** marvellous book.

  3. Finally got the four books I had lined up to read and just started reading your book last night – since we’re snowed in, I think that I will probably be able to get it done by Monday. From what I have read, so far, it’s pretty awesome and I know that I will enjoy the rest of it.
