Over the coming days we will be promoting Spina Bifida Awareness Week on the blog, a cause very close to our hearts. Stay tuned for more. We, as a family, have come through so much together. The key word here is ‘together.’ Together we are strong and the five of us will never be broken as long as we believe that and stick together. Through thick and thin, whatever the world throws at us. We need nobody or nothing else.

We are Stephen and Fionnuala and this is our story. We live in Northern Ireland, have been married for 17 years and have three kids - Adam, Hannah and Rebecca.
We hope that our story will inspire and encourage others. We have walked a rocky road yet here we are today, together and stronger than ever. We are far from perfect and our faith has been battered and bruised.

Your Hannah amazes me – her smile, her determination, she can follow YouTube vids on make up? I’ve been trying to get make up right for 40 years, and she’s nailed it! She’s an amazing young lady, and I have the highest hopes for her. I can’t imagine what getting the diagnoses was like, I can’t imagine it’s all been an easy thing to learn to live with, but wow – she’s worth every moment of “I need help here.” *hugs to all of you*
