We are Stephen and Fionnuala and this is our story. We live in Northern Ireland, have been married for 17 years and have three kids - Adam, Hannah and Rebecca. We hope that our story will inspire and encourage others. We have walked a rocky road yet here we are today, together and stronger than ever. We are far from perfect and our faith has been battered and bruised. But an untested faith is a pointless faith. Just as a fractured faith is better than none at all. We hope you enjoy the blog. There is an element of truth in this.
I actually feel the same way about my funeral I hope however that it is a long way off, but my thoughts are very much along the lines of if you didn’t bother with me during my life then don’t bother to come and see me off.

On the contrary – I hope and pray that the people I love who have repeatedly turned down my invitations to come to church (I guess hell hasn’t frozen over yet.) will come to my funeral and hear what I have been trying to tell them all my life.

That is a very different but very valid viewpoint from mine but thank you for sharing it with me.

Sounds like the church sign post I did: what if you woke to only the things you thanked God for?

I was just thinking yesterday with disgust how interesting it was that after Job’s trials and unimaginable sufferings were over, suddenly all his relatives were there to celebrate with him. Where have they been???

Will isn’t exactly coming up with a new thought here. The whole story of The Little Red Hen carries the same message. π
