Merci Beaucoup

That’s about the height of my French but it was encouraging to receive my first Amazon France review of the book today. And a 5 star one at that. It’s always great to hear from people who have invested their time and money in a first time author. I’m very grateful for, and humbled by, the wonderful reviews it has received to date. It’s pushing me on to complete Book 2 asap, the first draft now sitting at 87,000 words.

We are Stephen and Fionnuala and this is our story. We live in Northern Ireland, have been married for 17 years and have three kids - Adam, Hannah and Rebecca. We hope that our story will inspire and encourage others. We have walked a rocky road yet here we are today, together and stronger than ever. We are far from perfect and our faith has been battered and bruised. But an untested faith is a pointless faith. Just as a fractured faith is better than none at all. We hope you enjoy the blog.

  1. Congrats! I haven’t reached France yet, but I’ve got one from the UK and one from Australia (the rest in the US).

  2. I am so very happy for your success. I hope you are getting to enjoy this wonderful moment you seem to be in. I hope it is as uplifting and special as it seems to be from afar. Your words and writing are spectacular and I hope hope the accolades you are receiving help heal that inner voice that might say you aren’t good enough (if that’s ever been there, I mention it because it’s always nagging at me) and spur you on toward more words and more writings to help uplift our beautiful society with how wonderful minds can truly be when given the freedom to express themselves honestly and without fear of retaliation for the expression.

  3. C’est Formidable! Felicitation pour le livre!
And that’s about as much as I can offer…high school French and my great grandmother are both things I haven’t had to be around for a long time.
