Feeling worthless? I used to. Every. Single. Day. Largely because I was so insecure I craved the attention of others to justify my own existence. I looked outwards when I should have been looking inwards. It was only when I started to focus on my own abilities, rather than the opinions of others, that the scales dropped from my eyes and I saw the light. The light shining from within, not reflected from the eyes of others. Be you. Discover your true self. Find that light burning within.

We are Stephen and Fionnuala and this is our story. We live in Northern Ireland, have been married for 17 years and have three kids - Adam, Hannah and Rebecca. We hope that our story will inspire and encourage others. We have walked a rocky road yet here we are today, together and stronger than ever. We are far from perfect and our faith has been battered and bruised. But an untested faith is a pointless faith. Just as a fractured faith is better than none at all. We hope you enjoy the blog. Agreed. It always bothers me when people are proud of someone for what they’ve accomplished, earned or did and that’s it. What if they woke up a paraplegic tomorrow? Or lost their job? Unconditional love is what we need.

In today’s society we measure our value on things. Money, home, cars, boats, position where we work.
Our value has to be from within!

I would also argue that our worth does not decrease if we also fail at times to see our OWN worth as well. We are created to be worthy, and nothing can take that away. No trauma. No abuse. No self inflicted trauma or abuse. Your worth is independent of people’s treatment of you, and your worth is independent of your mental health treatment of yourself. You are, always and forever, worth it all.

Nice quote. Your value is great in the eyes of the Lord, no matter what others say/think. Hope your holiday has brought lots of opportunity for you to see family and friends. Sail into December with flying colors. 😀
