What Gets You Excited?

Good Morning from Northern Ireland. This is how we roll.

What gets your part of the world excited?

Published by Fractured Faith Blog

We are Stephen and Fionnuala and this is our story. We live in Northern Ireland, have been married for 15 years and have three kids - Adam, Hannah and Rebecca. We hope that our story will inspire and encourage others. We have walked a rocky road yet here we are today, together and stronger than ever. We are far from perfect and our faith has been battered and bruised. But an untested faith is a pointless faith. Just as a fractured faith is better than none at all. We hope you enjoy the blog.

  1. At this time of year, snow in the forecast sends people into a frenzy. Bread and milk fly off the shelves at the grocery stores. Kids tune their media to sources announcing school closings and frenzied parents prepare to ‘hunker down’ for the duration. In fact, today we appear to be in for cold rain as the while stuff falls just north of us.

  3. Snow definitely gets us excited here. People go crazy and buy all the bread and milk in sight as if French Toast will save us from the snow apocalypse LOL.

People around here really like Billie Eilish as a singer.

Things that make me excited are sleeping in, reading a good book undisturbed while drinking a cup of tea.

  4. Snow for sure. I’ve actually only witnessed snow once in my life thus far and it by far was the best. So blissful, pure and white. Maybe I enjoyed it because it was my first experience. I can’t say I would want to live in it, but the experience was amazing and memorable.

  5. “Snow” is actually the only item on your list I understand.

What gets people in my part of the world excited is seeing our CHIEFS appear in the Super Bowl for the FIRST TIME IN 50 YEARS!

  6. Dutchies get excited by:
    – finding money in a piece of clothing you haven’t worn in a while.
    – coming home and realizing you won’t have to cook tonight.
    – waking up to the song of a blackbird.
    – Max Verstappen
    – the moment we see ice forming on our canals (and the prospect of it getting strong enough for us to go for a skate).
