Are you broken? Do you feel worthless, incapable of contributing in any way towards the situations and people around you. Have you given up? Stop and think for a minute. You’ve been there, you’ve seen what lies behind the ‘I’m fine’ masks. You’ve experienced the reality of depression, addiction, bereavement and countless other dark scenarios. And you’ve come through the other side, scarred but intact.
Scars are trophies of war, a war against the darkness. They are stitched together with compassion and wisdom. By overcoming your demons you have become a light, a beacon to others. You know their pain, understand their despair. Reach out to them, for they are many and they are everywhere. Reach out today. You survived for a reason. You can be someone else’s reason to live today. Reach out.
Really needed to read this today! Thank you!

Thank you for sharing! The suffering, the loneliness, the feelings of hopelessness…all too familiar to me on my journey. I do believe that it has made me stronger, although I’m not exactly sure in what way. I still feel fragile if you know what I mean. My capacity to empathize, my understanding of the illness, my ability to love others without judgement, my strong desire of wanting to help other broken people…Am I the only one who sees this as a blessing that carries much weight? Anyways, thanks again for sharing and helping me feel this may be what my calling is as well🤷🏼♂️ Cheers and God bless!

I don’t know why it is that you always seem to hit the nail on the head. Yes, I have been suffering with physical and mental depression since October of last year, however, I think I’m starting to see the end of the tunnel. Thank for helping me and so many others, bless you kind sir.

I believe this 100%. We cannot stay grounded in hopelessness when our mind is off ourselves and onto others.
