Good Morning WordPress. This spoke to me today. Sometimes I feel useless, not as much as I used to, but it’s still there occasionally. Yet I know I matter to my family. They are the reason I keep going, the reason I get up and show up. I’m an idiot but I’m their idiot. That’s enough for me. I hope there are people in your life who feel the same about you. Keep going for them. They need you as much as you need them.
We are Stephen and Fionnuala and this is our story. We live in Northern Ireland, have been married for 17 years and have three kids - Adam, Hannah and Rebecca.
We hope that our story will inspire and encourage others. We have walked a rocky road yet here we are today, together and stronger than ever. We are far from perfect and our faith has been battered and bruised.
But an untested faith is a pointless faith. Just as a fractured faith is better than none at all.
We hope you enjoy the blog.

Fathers (& husbands) are the clowns of the household. Anything they do even slightly wrong causes great amusement amongst the family. It’s a precious gift to have. 🤡
Thanks for this timely reminder. As a relatively recently retired person, it is sometimes hard to remember that I have a use and purpose outside of the work I once did.
Over the years of reading your blog you have come to matter to me too, even though we are strangers in the “real” world and live oceans apart. Thank you for this. I have been thinking a lot about family and how much they matter, and help me to see that I matter too. This is awesome.

I know I matter to my family; I hope I matter to people outside of that. Even if not, my family will be enough. ❤️
