Some days my head feels like this. I’m a born worrier and my OCD means I fret and pick at small things, magnifying them to a point where they utterly consume my every waking thought. An OCD head is an unbearably heavy head. Lessen the load if your head is heavy today. Set down the cart and seek help, be it a professional or a loved one. The road ahead is hard enough without carrying burdens that need not be.
We are Stephen and Fionnuala and this is our story. We live in Northern Ireland, have been married for 17 years and have three kids - Adam, Hannah and Rebecca.
We hope that our story will inspire and encourage others. We have walked a rocky road yet here we are today, together and stronger than ever. We are far from perfect and our faith has been battered and bruised.
But an untested faith is a pointless faith. Just as a fractured faith is better than none at all.
We hope you enjoy the blog.

This post is timely for me. I am carrying a heavy load and, unfortunately, I keep placing the load on those who love me. I need to consider your words. Thanks.
I can relate to the OCD and being a worrier. I over-worry and magnify things. I tend to create problems in my head and make things worse than they seem. Sometimes I create future problems at the moment and begin worrying and panicking about them now. The visual was very powerful .
Good advice

I am not OCD, but have always been prone to being the load-carrier for everybody. I can relate.

Amen to that. I can relate because I’m a chronic worrier. And sometimes I have to step back and forget about any outcomes to get some peace.

I agree, Cherie. Sometimes you have to walk away to preserve your own mental health. Thank you 😊
