We took a drive along the Causeway Coastal route today all the way to Portrush. Fionnuala took around a zillion photographs and here are some of them. Special guest appearances from Hannah, Rebecca & Charlie the border terrier. I hope they capture the beauty of Northern Ireland, this wee country we call home. Hope you are all keeping safe and well. Enjoy your weekend and let me know what you think of the snaps.

Great pics. My hubby and I spent part of our honeymoon in Portrush. 🙂

What beautiful pictures and people! A lovely place. I would like to visit one day. I miss going to Europe. We went to Europe every year for the last four or five years, so we hope for this crisis to pass, so we can travel again. And with the US still reporting record numbers, we limit traveling near home, as we live in the South. So, I live precariously through other people’s photos. So, thanks.

It looks like a beautiful part of the world. Some friends and I had planned to do the Antrim Coastal Path in 2014, but the dates clashed with the North West 200 and all the B&Bs were booked up. So we did the Lecale Way, the Mourne Wall challenge, the Mourne Way and the Gullion Way instead. Not a bad alternative. 😊

I love the Giant’s Causeway. I’m originally from Scotland and have heard that it passes under the sea and comes out as Fingal’s Cave. I’d love to see it there too – but it’s pretty hard to get to!!!

Did you dock in Belfast?

Yes we did. And we recognized some scenery watching the most recent season of Marcella. We saw the jail and Queens and reminders of the Troubles. We pray that no fallout from Brexit disrupts the Good Friday agreement.
