The Only Test I’ve Ever Wanted To Fail

Good Morning from Northern Ireland. I’m pleased to say my COVID-19 test was negative and the Black clan are out of self-isolation again. This was a big relief to all. We won’t be going far, though, as the latest set of restrictions came into effect yesterday meaning schools are closed for the next two weeks. Bars, restaurants, cafes and leisure centres have also been closed for the next four weeks as our authorities attempt to stamp down on growing infection rates.

I’ll post a longer blog later but just wanted to let people know. I want to thank everyone for their kind words, thoughts and prayers over the last couple of days. They have been very much appreciated and once again evidence the caring, supportive community that WordPress is. If you develop COVID-19 symptoms please self-isolate and get a test. Otherwise, keep washing your hands regularly, maintain good social distancing and wear a face covering where necessary. Talk to you all soon.

We are Stephen and Fionnuala and this is our story. We live in Northern Ireland, have been married for 17 years and have three kids - Adam, Hannah and Rebecca. We hope that our story will inspire and encourage others. We have walked a rocky road yet here we are today, together and stronger than ever. We are far from perfect and our faith has been battered and bruised. But an untested faith is a pointless faith. Just as a fractured faith is better than none at all. We hope you enjoy the blog.

  1. Great news! Must be a big relief for you. We have someone in our family (a sister in law) who works in a hospital and is tested pretty regularly. Her family goes through the stress regularly, its been tough for them. Glad to hear you and yours are all safe and well. Cheers.

  2. So glad to hear! Been M.I.A. for a couple of days or so, so I did not know. My daughters both had to be tested and both came back negative, that was a month or two ago, but it’s stressful waiting to hear. Stay healthy and stay safe.

      1. There aren’t many in the area where I live right now, but our cases are so few in my town. But the city an hour away from us have about 75-100 cases per day and there they have lots of restrictions.
